Spark! Offers Chance to Network in Arts, Industry

- November 26, 2007

NORTH ADAMS - Arts, culture, design, innovation, technology ... if these words are part of your vocabulary, chances are you are part of the region's growing creative economy.

Whether working in industry or the arts, Berkshire Creative is inviting all to come to mix and mingle at its new signature event: "Spark! Networking for Berkshire Creatives."

Spark! will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, from 5:30-7 p.m. on the third floor Building 1 on the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts campus. Watch for the signs.

Hosts for the evening are the animation and visual effects shop Synthespian Studios and the Center for Creative Community Development (C3D), which conducts research, education and training on the role of the arts in community redevelopment. Also hosting is Cafe Latino, which will provide complimentary hors d'oeuvres.

The event is free, but those planning to attend should register by noon on Monday, Dec. 10, to berkshire.creative.economy@gmail.com. For more info, call at 413-499-4000, Ext. 21.

Attendees are invited to bring business cards and brochures to leave on a table showcasing "Our Creative Berkshires." Mass MoCA is at 87 Marshall St.

The museum will be open from 11 to 5 and Cafe Latino will be open for dinner from 5 to 9.
